![]() Herb a day Campaign : Elderberry Sambucus Nigra. I can’t believe I have not done one of these for Elderberry yet but here we go. I love elderberry. They have such a rich sweet flavor. I put them in teas pretty often but around this time of year, everyone wants the syrup. It’s good to slow down or stop the replication of viruses. It doesn’t stop there though, it’s also used to kill bacterias like H. Pylori, the culprit for lots of stomach ulcers, peptic ulcers, gastritis and sometimes worse if it bacteria isn’t handled up on. Elderberry is high in anthocyanins which have been shown to increase eye health and reduce heart disease. It also helps to reduce uric acid in the body. This helps to relieve the pain of gout. These berries can boast about being high in vitamin C as well so it definitely helps to improve the functioning of the immune system too. Lots of studies have been done on Sambucus and they have found that these berries not only help to shorten the duration and severity of the common flu, they do the same with H1N1 as well (Swine Flu). This herb is one you’re going to want in your cabinet not only in cold and flu season, but all year long. I have some made of you need some.. #elder #elderberry #elderberries #elderberrysyrup #herbs #masterherbalist #herbalist #slamginherbs #anthocyanins #hearthealth #eyehealth #flu #hpylori #dallasherbalist #irvingtx #dfw #dallas #selfcare #antiviral #letmeteachyou #teacher #immunesystem #h1n1 #stomachulcer #swineflu #juicefast #elderberryjuice
