![]() Herb a day Campaign : Osha root. This herb has a smell and taste like no other. Some people say it tastes like celery and/or licorice. I can’t say I get either of those flavors but is intense and it’ll open up your head/throat/chest area for sure. It’s really good for Inflammation in the respiratory system. It helps to move congestion out of the head and the lungs with it’s warming properties. It gets the breath moving around and helps to dispel mucus as well. The Native Americans have had a long affair with the health benefits and is used in ceremony and has even been chewed for endurance. Let’s talk about eating Osha. Bears love it! It’s often called Bear Root or Loveage, because when bears chew on it (which they love to do), they get all nuzzly and snuggly. You see, Osha contains oxytocin. oxytocin is our “love” hormone. So, essentially Osha root is a romance root if you will. I’ve never tried it myself but I believe the bears and I’m sure I’ll give it a whirl someday. It really does well and most and cold/flu/lung/sinus formula. Be respectful when using the herb, this baby is truly wild. It doesn’t grow commercially so wild harvests have to be enough for our needs. Take only what you need so we an all enjoy this plant in its glory. #osha #osharoot #masterherbalist #tea #sinus #lung #resipratory #bear #ocytocin #herbalist #herbadaycampaign #nativeamerican #dallasherbalist #romanceroots #snuggly #bearsneedlovetoo #sorethroat #birus #viralinfection #herbsman! #slanginherbs #knowledge #comelearnwithme
