![]() Herb a day Campaign : Rehmannia Rehmannia is an herb used in TCM -Tradition Chinese Medicine. It is used as a tonic for the body. It has to be steamed to be considered a tonic so make sure you purchase it this way. It’s a warming herb so it helps people who have too much cold in their body (Yin excess) or even people who don’t have enough heat in their body (Yang deficiency). You must be balanced in this aspect in TCM. It targets kidneys and is considered “Kidney’s own food”. It tones this area, which is important, because not only does it balance fluid metabolism it is also thought to govern growth and reproduction and hair production. Rehmannia increases Qi (tchee) which is our vital essence or energy. It enables all things in the universe to exist and to constantly change. Qi is invisible yet everywhere (like air). We have to have Qi functioning optimally or we cease to exist. I love chewing on the steamed roots. It’s flavor is rich and strong but super satisfying none the less. It will get allllll in your teeth so don’t say I didn’t warn you. I love to use it prepared in tea form with other TCM herbs like Goji berries, Licorice root, Jujube Dates and Ginger Root. Such a beautiful, warm, complex, sweet mix that gets me feeling amazing and rejuvenated every time. #tea #herbadaycampaign #rehmmania #tcm #traditionalchinesemedicine #tonic #kidney #qi #yin #yang #yinyang #rejuvination #masterherbalist #iwanttoleaenmoretcm #ronteegarden #shudihuang #youth #dallasherbalist #slanginherbs #teacher #classescomingsoon #herbalist #herbalism #irvingtx #smallbusiness #localbusiness #nature #naturalhealing #herbnerd #learning
