I’m making some Irish Sea Moss gel. I usually make it raw. Today I’m brewing it up like my ancestors did. I added spices and going to see how I like it. Irish Moss kept my people alive during the Great Potato Famine. They boiled it with spices and milk and sugar. I’m not using the milk and sugar but am going to make me some with coconut milk and agave.
I always feel so close to this herb. Like a legit connection to the people I come from. If it weren’t for Irish moss I might not be here.
